Saltdean Bowling Club Members' Guide

Our club was founded by Major H F K T Harrison in 1971 when Brighton Council laid the green ready for the 1972 seasonThe Pavilion was completed at the same time and is shared by Saltdean Bowling Club and Saltdean Tennis Club.
The Green was formally opened by MP Andrew Bowden on May 13th 1972.
The club is affiliated to Bowls England and Sussex County Bowls.

We run informal roll-up sessions, friendly matches, league matches, internal club drives and competitions. We also have social events during the year, an Annual Dinner in the Autumn, Thursday afternoon club, bingo, and quiz evenings during the winter.

Our club coaches Terry Hammond and Ray Chitty offer coaching to newer people at the Saturday and Tuesday morning roll-ups. They are always happy to offer advice and help to members.
